Wood Technology
Laminated wood internal doors do not swell, rub, or crack. This might seem obvious – but it isn’t. Half of the internal doors we see during renovations are made of MDF or simple solid wood and have exactly these problems after 5-8 years. Lamination makes the difference over time.
Wood Species & Finishes
Available Finishes: – Opaque paint – any RAL or NCS colour – Clear lacquer – highlights the natural grain – Tinted lacquer – wood shade of your choice – Dual-tone painting – different colours on the two faces of the door
Species: – Spruce – Lightweight, fine grain, ideal for opaque finishes – Oak – Noble visible grain, perfect for clear lacquer – Meranti – Naturally warm colour, excellent for mixed finishes
Every internal door can be manufactured from your preferred species and finished in any colour or natural wood tone.

SM Wood Customer Experience
We trust the verdict of clients who sleep soundly through the deepest winter. That quiet confiden
ce is the testimonial that matters most to us.
I sincerely recommend working with SM Wood Prod Com; they adapt well to the client’s needs, the work was high quality, and any small shortcomings were corrected without any problem. They are very client-oriented. For example, I ordered the doors in brown, a colour I had chosen, and when they arrived we realised that we actually did not like that colour in combination with the rest of the house. So I asked for them to be repainted, and it was done without any problem. Of course, at an extra cost, but their attitude was: ‘You don’t like it? We’ll change it so that you do.’
Dan Fizesan
Interior doors, stairs and skirting boards project
I worked with SM Wood for all the interior and exterior doors and the interior staircase in my home, including design, production and installation. In particular, designing the interior staircase required a lot of creativity because of the limited space. The SM Wood team came up with practical ideas and the final result is very good. The production and installation of the doors followed the project and the pre-established budget. Throughout the collaboration, I received updates on the progress of the work, so I always knew what was ready and when it could be installed. Thank you!

When it is NOT the right choice
– Retail budget: bespoke laminated wooden doors cost more than off-the-shelf MDF or hollow-core doors. The difference comes from custom manufacturing and materials – not marketing. – Environments with constant extreme humidity: saunas, shower areas without active ventilation. Prolonged direct exposure to steam affects the finish over time, regardless of the species. – Plasterboard walls without reinforcement: the weight of a laminated wood door leaf requires doubled metal profiles or wooden studs in the drywall. Check the structure before requesting a quote. – Projects against the clock: custom manufacturing takes 6-10 weeks. There is no stock – plan ahead in your work schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q5: How long does manufacturing take? 6-10 weeks from order confirmation, depending on complexity and volume.
Q3: What does "full wall casing" mean? The full wall casing is a wooden frame that completely covers the wall depth around the frame – both on the inside and outside – eliminating the need for plastering or finishing the wall edges. The result looks neat and finished without additional interventions.
Q2: Can they be made with glazing? Yes. We can integrate simple, frosted, decorative, or safety glass into any internal door model.
Q1: What is the difference between a flush door and a rebated door? The flush door (D40) has a continuous surface without a perimeter profile – minimalist design for modern interiors. The D42 is a classic door with stiles and rails, having glass or a panel between the profiles.
